To add a stop as a Lyft passenger while you’re on a trip

To add a stop as a Lyft passenger while you’re on a trip, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Lyft App: While you’re in the middle of a ride, open the Lyft app on your phone.
  2. Swipe Up on the Ride Details: There’s a panel at the bottom of the screen showing your current trip details. Swipe up on this panel to see more options.
  3. Tap on ‘Add Stop’: You’ll see an option that says “Add Stop.” Tap on it.
  4. Enter the Stop Address: A field will appear for you to type in the address of the additional stop. Enter the desired address or location.
  5. Confirm the Stop: Once you’ve entered the address, confirm it. Your driver will be notified of the additional stop and the route will automatically update.
  6. Proceed with the Ride: The driver will follow the updated route, making the additional stop before proceeding to the final destination.

You can add up to two additional stops during a ride. Note that the fare might be adjusted depending on the additional distance or time taken.
